My makeup as a researcher / designer: I am an introvert, so I prefer depth over breadth, deep investigations into problems, finding “uncommon sense” solution
My background is in interaction design, and I specialize in the dimensions of writing (1D) and behaviour (5D). Research is my jam – I love advocating for design decisions on the basis of optimization, validating data and compelling user experiences.
Speaking of advocacy, the world of design and research have massive potential to spark and structure large-scale changes in technologies, systems, services, policies, and the values of people. I believe that it is vital, as a practitioner of these fields, to stand up for inclusivity and genuine benefits to people in what I create and study. We must not leave anyone behind, or ignore the issues woven into the full spectrum of human lived experiences.
My skill set mostly fits into the role of a UX Researcher or UX Designer, with a healthy dose of UX Writing and even a bit of UI Designing, depending on the problems that need solving. All of these roles, however, must be viewed through the dimensions of interaction design to fully grasp my approach to solving ill-defined problems, generating insight and proposing design solutions.
